RELAY CHALLENGE (2016 Challenge Cancelled)

Held annually since 1994,  this event celebrates youth and community in an alcohol, drug, tobacco and violence free environment and raises funds that are distributed back to the community in the form of mini-grants.

Adult and youth community members can form teams. Team members participate in dance contests, t-shirt and banner contests, air band playoffs and more – all in an alcohol and drug free environment.

If you missed the opportunity to drop off your medications at our April  Drug Take Back Day, make plans to participate in our Fall 2017 Drug Take Back Day (date to be announced)., October 22 at 10 a.m. for our Fall Drug Take Back Day at the Sylvania City and Township Police Departments and at  additional sites throughout Lucas County. This county-wide effort is made possible with support from Mental Health & Recovery Services of Lucas County and the Lucas County Commissioners. And –  don’t forgetthe permanent Med Return boxes purchased by SCAT are available at the Sylvania City and Township Police Departments 24 hours a day/7 days a week for disposal of prescription and over-the-counter medicines.


A national celebration of the choice to be alcohol, tobacco and drug-free. Our schools and community are blanketed with red ribbons as a visible reminder of this important decision. The “Walk of Light” event  kicks off Red Ribbon Week from October 23 – 31. Parents, children and the Sylvania community gather to pledge to be alcohol, tobacco and drug-free.

Our 7th Annual Golf Scramble will be held on Friday, August 11, 2017, at Bedford Hills Golf Club, 6400 Jackman Road, Temperance, MI.2016 Winners - The Boyer Team!

Golfers will enjoy raffles and contests. including a $10,000 Hole-in-One, followed by a delicious dinner.
