Parent-to-Parent Workshop: "Expect to Inspect"

11 Dec 2017 - 07:00 pm

Social media, peer pressure, parties, drug trends and underage drinking…it’s not easy raising teens in today’s culture!

Operation: PARENT’s Parenting 101 Class is the perfect way to raise your awareness regarding today’s teen and pre-teen culture.

Each of the sessions will begin with a video, followed by an open discussion led by a trained facilitator. And you can attend either of the two sessions that day: 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. or 7 p.m. – 8 p.m. December’s session “Expect to Inspect” discusses how a parent needs to balance a teen’s privacy with the need to know what that teen is doing and with whom.

You’ll leave with practical strategies for raising great kids and understand that you are not alone while navigating the teen and pre-teen years. Parents will be well equipped to prevent and intervene while having a network of parents to support them through the process. Everyone attending will leave with the Parenting 101 Class Workbook and CD.

Free and open to the public.
