Parent Resources

SCAT  is dedicated to providing resources and information for parents to use as a source of education and answers to their questions about tobacco, drug and alcohol use. We want to empower parents with knowledge and information to raise their children substance-free.  For truly practical information on the challenges that your kids (and grandkids) face and how to keep the lines of communication open visit  Parents. Talk About IT!

Don’t assume that your child knows where you stand on drinking– Talk Early & Talk Often.
Have regular, open conversations with your child on the subject and make your position clearly known. “I am against underage drinking and smoking.”  Give them expectations on their behavior. “I expect that you will not drink.” Be clear and concise about why and the consequences for breaking the rules.
