Sylvania Community Action Team

funWho is SCAT?
Sylvania Community Action Team (SCAT) is a Youth, Parent & Community group brought together to encourage healthy lifestyles for kids, and to discourage drug and alcohol use and other negative and unhealthy behaviors – not intervention, but prevention. A primary focus is encouraging  community and parent involvement with challenges that face our youth. Identifying how we can help, providing programs that offer guidance and education, and offering positive events that our youth can get involved in to develop leadership skills is SCAT’s mission.

SCAT’s membership includes parents, teachers, elected officials, police officers, school administrators and community members. We work in partnership with local organizations to support a healthy community. SCAT meets throughout the year to plan programs for our community. Check out our calendar for upcoming meetings.

Check out our many events and resources for parents and youth as well! Our youth activities are a wonderful opportunity for fun, friendship and leadership! The parent resources we offer are aimed at support and information for parents of all ages.  Contact us for more information. If you’d like to donate or volunteer at our events or activities, you can Get Involved!

To prevent drug and alcohol use among our youth, to provide support for positive youth, family and community development and to promote a safe, healthy community.
