Free! UPDATED EDITION – OPERATION PARENT: Parent Resource Handbook

Raising teens isn’t easy.  The Operation Parent Handbook is written by a mom of 5 who struggled with setting boundaries, communicating effectively and raising her children in today’s often toxic culture.  This handbook is the result of her discussions with her school’s guidance counselors and asking: “What are the issues you deal with on a daily basis?”

This handbook provides practical advice on 44 tough teen and preteen issues (click for sample pages) including sexting, dating violence, alcohol & drunk driving,  prescription drug abuse, blended families, cyberbullying, school violence, proms & spring break,  cutting, eating disorders, suicide and more each covered on one easy-to-read page with additional resources.

SCAT is offering this $25 handbook at no charge through a grant from the Mental Health & Recovery Services Board of Lucas County. The handbook is available at all SCAT events or from the SCAT office, 4747 N. Holland-Sylvania Road, Sylvania.
