Youth leadership provides all participating youth with team building and leadership skills. This offers the youth the opportunity to serve as peer prevention role models and to participate in events and activity planning guided by adults. Participants also have the opportunity to collaborate with county wide youth at events and training workshops. Youth leadership encourages volunteering and being involved in community service.

HEART TO HEART
Heart to Heart, formerly the Sr. SCAT Crew is our youth group for high school students. We’re always looking for new members who want to make an impact in their community, become a better leader, be part of a collaborative team, and make new friends. Students will participate in volunteer opportunities that involve hands-on projects in the community, be peer mentors, attend state leadership workshops, attend monthly SCAT board meetings, give presentations to youth and adults, and take an active role in organizing and executing SCAT events. Volunteer hours can also be counted toward their schools’ Interact organization.
Jr. SCAT Crew
Launched 2 years ago, Jr. SCAT Crew is an exciting youth group for 7th & 8th graders. Jr. Crew members will take part in the “Above the Influence” program and participate in events that encourage team building, strengthen values, and develop leadership skills. Learn more about yourself and other Crew members through games, skits, improv, group discussions and more! Take part in community service projects and get the chance to “run with the big dogs” of the Senior SCAT Crew!
It’s not too late to be a part of the Crew – you can join at any time – the bigger the crew the more we can do! Drop in anytime – we need your time, your talents, your thoughts – we need you!
